- Maximum 10,000L: for farm use on open land greater than 2 hectares
- Bunding required: secondary containment of 110% of tank capacity must be in place; self-bunded diesel fuel tanks satisfy this requirement in a single unit
- Separation distances: from buildings, boundaries, and ignition sources must be observed
- Labelling: with contents and hazard class is mandatory on every tank
